by your good conduct deserved it. teminated or expressly continued the anrointment will cease at the end of the said three years and you will then be given a free passage back to this country provided that your work and conduct have been satisfactory. If it is continued you will be placed on the pensionable establishment and your salary will be raised to 2330 rising to £350 after a further period of three years. in that event your first three years' nervice will count as service for the purposes of leave and mansion but you will lose your right to a passers back to England. The print Eastern No.121 shows the main rules as to leave and version which apply to officers on the permanent establishment. will note that from the date at which your appointment is mode vermanent you will be required to contribute 4 of your salary to the 'idows' and Orphans' Pensions Fund of the Colony.

It is also to be understood that your services will be available for any duties upon which the Governor, in the interest of the public service, may think it desirable to employ you, and that it will be within his discretion to station you wherever he may consider that your presence will be most useful.
